Village Hall for hire in Great Canfield, Essex!


Great Canfield Village Hall acts as our village hub. It is our Polling Station and is used by the Parish Council  for its meetings. The main hall completely renovated in Spring of 2025 to include: -

  • Fitted kitchen with large range-style gas cooker, kettle, crockery, glasses, sink with hot water, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
  • Hall furnished with tables and chairs for up to 70 seated adults.
  • Acoustic ceiling discs to reduce echo, and traditional tongue-and-groove wainscoting for a bright, welcoming air-conditioned space, with a great sound system!

Typical Uses
Children’s parties, yoga and fitness classes, toddler groups, indoor bowls, community events and the occasional wedding reception.

Hire Charges

  • Morning or Afternoon (up to 4 hours): £35.00
  • Evening (7:00 pm – 10:00 pm): £35.00
  • Late Evening Events (until midnight): £65.00
  • Weddings (whole day): £150.00

Management
The hall is managed by a committee responsible to Great Canfield Parish Council. The building is leased from the Parochial Church Council. Our shared goal is to maintain the hall for community use and—through fundraising—support its upkeep and improvement.
