Harvest Festival Celebrations at The Griffin Inn (AKA Village Hall)

Once again our Village Hall was converted to a temporary Public House to celebrate the Harvest festival on 20th & 21st September. The two-day event was a great success with many in attendance; enjoying the fine Adnams Ales, Pinot Grigio and Spanish Rioja!

A big Thank You to all who came to the celebrations. The Griffin Inn was nice and busy on Saturday night and did a roaring trade Sunday lunchtime.  We all say a big "Thank You" to Keith and Gill Vincett who once again organised this event and the many others who lent a hand especially Mrs Barlow, a master of washing up!

The Winners of the best Decorated Cup Cakes were: - Freya Donald
Jam - Keir Donald with an exotic "Marrow, Ginger and Lime preserve"
Pumpkin - Charlotte Mackley .

Raffle:
1st prize, 96 hand make truffles, Jon Sams
2nd prize, A truckle of Black Bomber, Catriana Kellerman.

NEXT EVENT , Fireworks night at the Cricket pitch , Sat 8th November .
Talented Barman John Clark with Ann-Marie Knight.
