​​In October last year SACT generously agreed to make available a grant of £2,000 towards the cost of a professional dishwashing machine and an updated heating system for the Village Hall.
The dishwasher was purchased earlier this year, with £1,000 of the SACT grant, and has been greatly welcomed by those who arrange the numerous functions involving food and drinks at the Village Hall. It has a remarkably quick washing cycle, less than 5 minutes. 
Preparations are in hand to replace the existing heaters with more effective and efficient modern ones, using the balance of the SACT grant, and this is expected to be completed during the summer.
These are part of an ongoing programme to improve the Village Hall which grants from SACT, amongst others, make possible.
