You are no doubt aware of Uttlesfords Local Development Framework Consultation which runs from 20^th January to Monday 5^th March 2012.  There are two parts to the consultation

 

1.       Development Management Policies – how planning applications should be decided,

2.       Locations for new homes in the district.

 

You can view the documents and respond via the Uttlesford website, the link is http://www.uttlesford.gov.uk/main.cfm?Type=DU&MenuId=1256.  In addition there are a number of public exhibitions which are open from 10am to 8pm.  The most relevant will be at Priors Green Community Centre on Thursday 2^nd February. 

 

The Parish Council would encourage residents to review the documents and visit the event at Priors Green.  There is a potential impact within the Parish of Great Canfield as the proposals for ‘new homes in the district’, includes a large development in the area south of the B1256 and to the west of Great Canfield Road.  At this stage these are merely possible sites put forward by various parties, you are asked to comment on a variety of questions including the suitability of the proposed sites.

 

The Parish Council will be considering their response at the next Parish Council meeting on Monday 20^th February.  The first part of all Parish Council meetings is an open public meeting where residents are welcome to attend and raise any concerns or questions.
